new to 300ZX

I just bought a 1990 300zx from my uncle and it needs some work on it. It has a few issues that i am trying to figure out like why my speedometer is not working(im using gps as speedometer) and im having trouble locating some parts if anybody knows where some good replacement and aftermarket parts are for a n/a 300z let me know. Im not new to the car sceene im just new to Z's.
So far ive only put h.i.ds in it tuned it up and put a filter on. Im trying to locate a set of full air intakes possibly from injen tech. and im going to get a megan racing full exhaust system and coil kit.

what it needs.
Really needs a paint job front rotors and pads new seats and steering wheel.

What it needs is an owner who doesn't shop on ebay. lol Megan Racing is Chinese garbage and doesn't belong on a high performance vehicle, such as a 300ZX. And Injen intakes aren't the best for the car - JWT POP Chargers outperform them.

Speedometer could be one of two things: the speed sensor on the transmission or soldering gone bad on the speedometer itself. I would check to see if the wiring is intact on the speed sensor. There is a member at twinturbo.net who can repair the speedometer for a fair price, DVDBurn or DVD_Burn, something like that. He repaired mine, works great now. I can dig up his email address if you want.

my buddy justin has a 94 vgtt and he runs megan exhaust and down pipes sounds good and is great quality and i use megan alot on what i work on for people and ive never heard the first complaint about it. I work on a budget as well i do what i can when i can with what money i have ive heard that jwt pop chargers are good but not what i want i always buy injens so ill go with them and megan racing just because i dont buy high dollar parts dont mean anything i buy parts that are almost as good or just as good as others for lower prices

If you want to sacrifice 5-8rwhp (the PROVEN gains of the JWT POP Charger over Injen), then have fun... I'd expect no different of a mindset from someone like you (a 21 year old who mods his car with Megan Racing parts purchased on eBay).
