yeah i led them they said that they could only get part number that they couldn't get those sepcs.. so i got 270cc after calling a few Z32 speciality shops and comparing there answers... its between 259 and 270 everywhere.. and they all said that you have a 20cc gap for play.. so like you say either will work without trouble.

thanks for everyones help.. now for the fun part!!!

This is not an easy task... i started at 9 thismorning and got stoped at around 4:30 because the i was loosing the sun and it was just too cold to go any further.. i have the plenum off and the fuel rails out.

the only thing is, when i followed the steps from

http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnettech/plenum/plenum.aspx

i'm having trouble getting the new fuel injectors to stay in the rail.. i used the same methods as on the page above but then i get the fuel injector all the way in as soon as i start to release the presure from the vice.. the injector pop rite back out of the rail.. any sugestions?

seriously. speaking of houses, i had a mouse nest under mine. the car must have sat for a bit a while back. you probably need to push those injectors about 3 times harder then you are. it takes some muscle. it might look all the way in but it could have another click to go

have you changed your fuel injectors before?..
how bad was it putting everything back together.. i dont know if i'm gonna be able to do it. i might need to send it to a shop and have it finished.
any advice?

yea i wouldn't tighten it too much. advise for plenum instalation: you probably cut some hoses, so save them, so you can make new ones the right length. pay attention to what kind of hose you use where (fuel, water, molded, ext.). hook up the hoses on the back of the plenum before you bolt it down so that you can hold the front up and do it from underneath. list out everything (or find an existing list) of what needs to get hooked up so you don't skip something. if you re-use hoses, check them for damage. get all the hoses on all the way with out kinking them.
all obvious things, but keep them in mind. you can do it, as long as you think before you do. it just takes a while. and keep everything clean!
i wish i could tell you more on the FI's, but honestly my dad did them. we had to get the car back on the road quick!

what? the injectors are held down with a screw on cap. you dont have to remove the rail even. take off the plenum. unscrew the caps pop out the injectors stick the new ones in and tighten the caps back on them and they sit into place. just make sure VERY CAREFULLY you put the injectors in slowly and properly before you start to tighten them down and that you have EVERY O-ring on CORRECTLY and sitting CORRECTLY cause if you get one or two ****-eyed they get pinched and you get a mad vac leak and it runs like ***.

no i had to remove the fuel rail to get the old injectors out without busting them up .. i have a 40 dollar core charge on each one..
plus when installing the new ones i get them to go all the way in but they dont pop into place, you know stay in the fuel rail without me applying preasure to them... they wanna pop back out.

i inserted the fuel injector in the fuel rail then took a 1" deep socket and placed it around the nozzel of the fuel injector against the fuel rail then placed the cap on the top of the fuel injector and placed into a table vice.. closing the vise pushed the injector into the fuel rail without having to worrie about damaging the nozzel end or the top cap of the injector.. thrn while cap was fulling touching fuel rail i tightend down screws on the fuel injector cap and i thought it was good enough.. but when put in comparason to one of the old injectors in the fuel rail.. the new fuel injectors didn't sit as far into the fuel rail as the old ones.. thats when i took off the cap to the new fuel injector and found the injector would eject itself from the fuel rail.. it never clipped in place like the old one had... not sure what else to do.

hmm... me either. make sure the o-rings are in the correct positions. maybe compare the new FI's to the old ones to check for differences. also check the shape of the fuel rail inlet. maybe the one you were working on is damaged.
