Good idea. VQ pwns VG

bTW, its a VQ35DE, not the HR. HR has dual throttles and started in 2007
still, you have the revup motor with 300 crank hp.

400whp will require approx 14psi at stock compression. Good luck!

Only for natural aspiration applications. The VG's iron block is MUCH stronger than the aluminum VQ.

sure, if you're running over 500hp then the iron block is preferred

...then you've got people on Hybridz talking about wanting an aluminum block for the L28!

VQ is 300lbs ligther than the VG, procharger with 8lbs of boost with skunk 2 intake spacer and good exhaust with good header gonna make 400rhwp already tested same setup on a g35(drift) and stock VQ is good for around 450rwhp on stock internal but the weak point are the rod.

those are the only pic that are small enough to post here... lol

I saw a vq35 TT do 608 h.p. on a dyno at 18 psi. The guy had to turn the boost down to the 18 psi because he overpowered the dyno on the first run. Obviously he didn't have stock internals, but it shows that the motor has potential.
