might be joining up with you guys soon, any thoughts??

in a few months, i might be getting a Z32 anywhere from a 92 to a 96 depending on price range. as of now i own a 1982 280zxt and im thinking of moving to a newer style/low mileage car thats a little more reliable for my job. just wondering if you guys had any thoughts on it, like what price i should be looking for, and what year would be the most reliable yet fun to drive, im looking for a mechanically good car, something that doesnt need much done to it, other than fluids and maybe belts, and fuses, exterior, i dont mind, just as long as there is not dents, paint, dont mind that much, i have my own color designs i would want to do, but has to have black leather interior, my favorite...anyways, any insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance!

p.s. also it must be a manual car, otherwise i wont look at it...

I would get an NA if you want a reliable car that is relatively low maintenance. Look to spend between 7500 and 11000 for a good low mileage Z32. Any year is fine...try to shy away from early 90s. look around on the classifieds, autotrader, craigslist, etc. good luck.

it'll be tough getting an N/A when all i have owned is turbos, i think ill just stick with the turbo, never had problems with them, and they are fun. so i guess, reliable other than the turbo part.

Turbos can be reliable as long as you don't mod the living hell out of it. lol
Searching is the hard part as others can attest to.

turbo's can be reliable even if they are modded. I daily drive my present one and I did my old one as well. They are maintenance heavy though. if you want a turbo....look to spend upwards of 11000 for a low mileage one.

yea, i learned from my experience with the 280zx, not to go for the first cheap one i found, too many problems, this time i was all, or most, maintenance records, and something under 120,000 miles on it, found a really nice looking 96 white glacier pear, my favorite color for that car, with 40k on the engine which is a twin turbo, and 140k on the chassis, good condition, and all fuel parts replaced, along with a couple pumps, belts and gaskets, only 7,000?????!?!?! something has to be wrong, but ill check it out, ill post the site once i get it.

That's one clean Z. I don't really mind the tail light covers that much. I dunno if i would go buy and install them, but they don't look horrible. There on the Z that Wings West advertises with and I like them on that one too.

oh well... good luck.. that's a really nice Z
