looking to upgrade fuel injectors
looking to upgrade fuel injectors
hello everyone.
My names Phil, I own a 1990 Nissan 300zx N/A, car has 149,000 miles, stock intake and stock exhaust.
i brought car to a shop because car was noticably misfireing.. they told me that my number one fuel injector is clogged.
i tired fuel injector cleaner several times.. even tried seafoam (it runs a lil smoother but still misfires)
sense i'm going to have to go in to fix the prob anyways, i want to know how much bigger of a fuel injector i can go before having to replace my ecu, fuel pump, ect....
i've been told that the N/A runs 270cc's stock can i go up to 290cc's without any issues? i'd really like to go to 370cc's the stock twin turbo injectors.. but will i then need 300 degree fuel rail's, fuel lines, fuel pump and ecu?

thanks.... secound question.. you know where i can get a brand new set of injectors for under $400? i found a set of brand new Venom 290cc injectors for $380 on ebay, could i go with the 290cc's without running too rich?
Don't shop for parts on eBay. Venom injectors suck. If you can't afford Nissan OEM, be prepared to end up in debt from the maintenance costs of the Z32. You won't find new OEM injectors for less than $400. Courtesyparts.com has injectors for $140.64 each, CZP.us has them for $134 each.

check deatschwerks.com. i had a set of inectors freshened up by them
injectors will not increase your performance, unless
A/ you specifically replace your injectors due to the need for a better flowing set
B/ your performance is suffering due to bad injectors.
your situation is case B

2nd. Extra fuel doesn't do anything without extra air (and in some cases, extra spark)... and we're not even talking about providing extra fuel, we're talking about getting your engine the fuel it needs to begin with.
