A little too much oil

Recently changed my oil and I put about 3.6 quarts in. Which is apparently too much because I am past the full line on the dipstick. Is this a big deal? I know drastically overfilling can cause problems but this is probably only over by less than half a quart.

Are you checking it cold, without starting it first? Or have you let it run, cool off for a minute, then check?

Run, cool off for a min then check... while I was getting gas last. I will check when I leave work though, very flat parking lot here.

At the full line is fine... going higher than it is not and will cause windage on the crank which will wear bearings prematurely.
