One step at a time boy... might want to pay off your current ride before jumping into another. Just a thought.

hey yeah good luck with that.

im sorry but have u even paid off the 3k on the Z31 you bought? and your gonna pick up and maintain a TT? so at best buy one 7-10k and then the average estimation of 1500 a year spent on maintaning the car and that was by people that did work themselves. and as i remember, you couldnt touch carbs and did know what a TPS was. hey, its a great idea we've all had it because the car is simply astonishing, but i think its a little out of your league. now, if you sell the other 2 cars you could probably have close to enough money for an NA Z32 and use it for a learning experience and you can guage the monstrosity of a PIA it can be to work on the engine of a Z32. and the TT is about 30 percent more crowded

honestly kid, you have no idea how much work and down time there is on a z32, even on a NA auto there is still a bunch of crap to do, its not for the mechanically or budgetly challenged. and finding a good TT for $7k is lenient. you looking at about $12k at the end of the day for the car, and all the maintenance that has to be done, you can also add about $3-5K if you have someone else do the work. that and they dont get the greatest of MPG.

it is a great car no doubt, but i really wish someone would have told me this before i bought my N/A: "parts are F-ing expensive and you actually will need them."
i spent 4000 on the car and just crossed the border of 4000 MORE in parts alone. that's 4000 more then i planned on originally. i envy you with the Z31 and those cheap parts. when i looked for heads, i would see 300zx heads for 300$ and get all exited. well that's one Z32 head or 2 Z31 heads. i spent 600 on my heads. just an example

i had them mostly rebuilt at the nearest shop. all new valves and about 8 new lifters. he really just took them appart and cleaned them. maybe some machining. i really don't know. the new valves were 300 alone though.

Buy a 2007 350Z. Over 300hp and far less work maintaining it.

oh boy, here we go. the z32, especially in TT form, is NOT for someone who does not have their finances well in order. don't **** money away on fancy cars that you can't afford when you are young. start saving and investing as much money as you can, get rid of all debt, buy a house etc. then in a few years, when you are well settled in with savings, pay cash for a nice car, and still have plenty left over for other things. compound interest is a wonderful thing, and getting started young makes it add up much faster.

exactly why i'm selling my Z partially to invest in some mutual funds this summer. the rest will go toward college.
so again i say, stick with the Z31 for now. it's not that bad, and you'll feel better about a Z32 if you wait a while.

After a night's rest, I have decided that it's bad advice to conserve.

Tonsoffun... If you want to be in debt so bad, why not buy a Ferrari, or Porsche, or a nice ///M5? Then you will be the shiznit of your school.

that's the truth. my car is about the 2nd nicest car in the parking lot. the scion there gets some good attention too. but my school is small.but when it comes down to it, it's a fwd, 4-cyl, automatic.

Debt is a cool thing... keep buying brothah. But a Sentra as a daily driver is MUCH more sensible than your previous idea.

well it was only totaled cause my brother is a panzy and it didn't start for him(his dizzy cap broke when he got hit) he also dosen't want to mess with the car cause i sold him my accord. so he said he would sell it to me for 100$ cause he dosen't want it. also he does not want to bother with taking off and replacing the door and fender.

Not really the technical term of TOTALED... but okay.

dude, if he bent it enough to the point where it killed the dizzy cap, the whole car is bent, not just the fender, we ar etalking fender well, front clip, probably the firewall and if the door was latched, it most likely bent the rocker panels front a-pillar (i think) put it this way, my mother bent the door on her old car. no problem right? well, the door was just never strait again.....

point being, if he got hit hard enough to get to the middle of the engine bay (where the dizzy is) then the car IS done..

[B]i didnt buy a z32 because i knew it was twice the repair cost of the z31------kinda like a bigger boat---gotta expect more pricey repairs....dont do it if you cannot keep a z31 on the road.......you WILL be sorry when the repairs and parts prices break you like a soft twig..... [/B
