Just bought my first Z and love it

I just bought a 91 300Zx tt with tons of mods. It has a complete engine build, pistons, rods, ect, upgrade turbos, jim wolf technologies ,the only thing is the guy never upgrded the fuel injectors.other mods full suspension, body kit, carbon fiber hood,2 sets of rims, all the toys boost controller, timer, super airmass... The car is in great shape. I picked up for $9000 . do you guys think this was a good buy????????

That really depends on things other than mods. Personally, I like to stay away from modded cars. Other than the apparent condition of the car, I went for the person that drove the car when I got my Z's. That is what tells you how comfortable the deal is. I shopped around and broadened my search to about 500 miles away. I lucked out that both of my Z's were within 2 hours. Personally, with what you told me I wouldn't have bought the car. But, I didn't put it through my "test" and I didn't talk to the seller. What's the mileage? Was there full maint. records (for the entire life of the car)? Is the previous drriver young or old? Is the previous driver male or female? Do they have a family? Do they own numerous cars? Why were they selling it? What is there route to work (highway or stop and go)? Was it there daily drriver? Basically, there are more variables than how much money they decided to sink into their ride that dictates whether or not it is a good buy.

I have been shopping around for about 2 months, looked at numerous cars.. the guy who owned the the car was 38..he has several other cars that were in great shape ( mercedes & jeep )....he had the car as an hobby and didn't have time for the car anymore since he was starting his own business.I checked the car out in side and out looking for things that were wrong. I spent about 2hrs at the guys house asking questions about the car.he didn't raelly drive it a whole lot. (weekends) All the work that has been professionally done to the car I have paper work on and service records.

there are 95000 miles on the car 15000 on the engine.... the guy who owned it had it listed for more but this is the price I got him down to believe me he didn't want to let it go for that but he needed the money.... the car had not been in any accidents but has had the front and rear glass replaced thats all the major thing I found out about the car....I asked the guy about the glass, why it needed replaced(an unhappy ex-girlfriend)
