idle problems

i have a Nissan 300zx NA (z32) with a idle problem what is happening is when i start the car in the morning it does not want to idle. some times it idles real high for 3 sec and then drops and some time it just idles and then drops. the rpm needle jumps up and down below idle and then the car dies. i can hear a popping noise coming from the engine only during cold start ups only when i press the gas like a bake fire or after fire. it also does not want to move at first but after going for awhile it it moves fine. when i take my foot off the petal when im coming to a stop light. the rpm drops to idle like its not down shifting but it is a auto transmission when i get to the stop lights the rpm needle jumps up and down below idle then dies. if i turn off the AC and put the car in neutral the car idles fine and it dose not die. i have change the fuel filter and the fuel injector where change 3 years ago and i have cleaned the MAF the spark plugs look fine and air filter are clean. i have taken it up to the auto parts store and had the battery and alternator check and it is fine. i have no clue what it is

(if theres miss spelled words i am sorry im dyslexic so if you want to make fun go ahead i have listing to it all my life i have come to peace that there is just mean people in this world)

sounds like the PVC valve is plugged, I had a old car that did this( dead give away is stopping at a red light and it stalling or runs real ruff.) we have 2, I just ordered a couple as well think there 5 bucks each.

hard to reach look up some tec tips and you may even have to replace some hoses.
this is a cheap starting point anyhow, could be vacuum leak ect ect. start with general maintenance like spark plugs/TSP/ clean all ele connectors and throttle bodys.

Try checking your manifold vacuum pressure. It should be between 18 - 21 in-hg. If it is low or fluctuates alot, we can diagnose from there.

Also check your fuel pressure with a pressure gage.

Have you checked for any ECU codes?

I have had the same condition on my t/t. I had new 740cc injectors and ECU upgrade. The Nissan mechanic said this is the smoothest running Z he has ever seen after the upgrade. For what it is worth. I also heard the ticking and ran very rich on start up before. Good luck!

no i did it all my self . it wont start because i had the fuel lines backward. but it ran the same so i replaced the iacv again ran a little better but still stalling. so i found this guy on craigslist that had a MAF for $50 so i was like i already spend over a $1000 already whats another $50 and it fix it i didnt think it was that because i got a new one a few years back so.
