I have a 1990 300zxTT one day the steering got stiff when turning left and right, the fuild is full and there are no leaks that I can see, it is very hard to steer the car at high and low speeds, to save me the expense on getting a technician to look at the car do any one have any ideas for me to consider.
The HICAS systems also works and there are no warning lights.

 

I'm guessing your power steering pump took a crap. Otherwise it's the steering box, and that's mucho $.

 

Ok if it is the power steering pump can I rebuild it myself in a day, is it a simple pull down replace orings and put it back up job, or should I buy a new one.

How can I check if it is really the pump that is gone?
