Fun with the A/C
so, let me first say, i am being lazy, next let me say, i didn't start out lazy,Nissan made me this way.
the A/C compressor on this car sucks. it has a rear facing bolt that has to be taken out with a crows foot wrench. I don't own a crows foot wrench, i didn't know i needed one till i had the radiator out, the sway bar unbolted and the other 3 bolts out of the compressor. So, after i put everything back together, i decided screw it, ill take it to a shop pay the 200$ and get it done and i probably wont get r134a sprayed in my face.
dropped the car off friday, at 3pm, now, mind you, takes about 1 hour to take radiator out fan off, unbolt the swaybar and AC comp bolts, the shop didn't call me back till 2pm the next day asking if they could keep the car for another day. they said they had all but the back bolt off but were waiting till they got the o-rings they needed. WTF? i let them know 4 days ahead of time that i was bringing it in, i told them i have the new compressor and the vbelt, why wouldn't they have the O-ring set ahead of time? why did it take 8 hours to undo 4 bolts on the sway bar and 3 on the a/c compressor?
They said they had other customers, so,i guess your other customers will pay you cause i sure as hell wont. Now i have to go buy a set of crows foot wrenches unless anyone knows a trick on getting that back bolt off.

cut the bolt off. go to the harware store and get one of matching length and size and replace it. that's what I did with the alternator bolt on my SR. I mean seriously WTF the bolt hits the mottor mount when you try t take it out. Way to go Nissan
