Fish-tailing ~

I was coming home from school, im about to make a left turn. ~its raining. as i make it, i think i gave it too much accel. getting outa 1st gear and experienced my first fish-tailing situation. luckily no-one was around so i didnt hit anyone (which i dread the most) so was wondering, does fish-tailin cause any major strains on the car or wear out anything

Tires, mainly. If you're experiencing any wheel hop, then the damage could be endless....suspension, gears, etc.

ok first off. non taken. and second off all. well I'm glad U did not hit anithing third off, If you are gonna drift make sure U are not experiensing wheel hop. Y? well your whole suspension can really get damaged. My case I bumped my rear springs outa place. so the car's springs really got wacked up. the shocks died. as for the gears no damage done. but if your car is auto this would be the drill. when you are ready to grab traction again just let go of the gas. and youshould gain traction fine. don't panic and slam on your brakes because all that will do is make it worse. and if you where thinking of turning the wheel the other way. well.... just dont; step on the brakes and it should not be that bad. now if you are manual (my case) this is what I do. let;s make a senario. going down a two lane street (two lanes for each side) that comes to an end ( either left or right turn) on a one lane street. U are in 4th gear doing i'd say 2500rpm. or about 50Mph. U slow down to 40 and open up to the farthest lane to the turn (turning left the farthest ane to the right) when you are about i'd say 25 yards from the corner of the turn downshift on to third but don;t let go of the clutch yet. turn your wheel about half a turn and let go of the clutch and punch it. (you should nowhave broken traction pretty nice.) now steer the car to the right do like 1/4 of a turn after the wheels are straight. (a 3/4 turn from the current possition of the wheel) and keep the pedal to the floor. the car should now be sliding as a whole. when you come to the edge of the turn shift into 4th and make shure you have the wheel in a position to go straight back into the lane. (straight forward) now let go of the clutch and just put the foot on the throttle like a "ormal"drive. the car should have gotten traction back. if not. well **** make sure your 4 wheels are straight. (HICAS) and slam on the clutch brake and e-brake and you shoudl stop in less than 10-15 ft. and you shuld either be saying "HOLY ****!!! THAT WAS CLOSE/FUN" or be shitting bricks.

DO NOT!!! I REPEAT DO NOT!!!! Try this on any kind of weather that the ground is not dry. If you try this on wet or slippery weather I guarantee your car will end up some where not cool so DO NOT!!! TRY THIS ON THE WET!!! DRY ONLY!!!! damp is ok but pushing your luck. so just dry if you must.

I'm still trying to figure what kind of super brakes Bardabe uses to get his car stopped from 50MPH to 0 in only 10-15 feet. That's better braking than an Enzo.

Just so I'm clear......you have a licensed adult (loosely phrased) in the car when you do this?

well the car is sliding sideways so the car is gonna stop hella of alot quicker than straight forward. did i mention that you are also supose to use both brakes. (pedal and E-brake). oh and yeah get it out of gear that shoudl help alot. since the gears have no weight so you shold not stall and loose brake pressure.
