I saw these pics on tt.net...very nice....both of my personal favorites. This should however be in the Z32 section, but whatever, the cars look great.

the problem is that you have to pull the motor to do it. I recommend learning how to work on your cars yourself. Start with little stuff (oil changes, etc) and work your way up. If you have any guys in your area that might be able to help, maybe they can help pull your motor for a cheaper cost or for beer and food or something and you can help and learn.

Just to give you an idea of price, a turbo replacement/rebuild costs $3000 in San Diego. Keep in mind that this is at a Z shop. There is absolutely no room to move under the hood of a Z32. So, you basically have to take the whole top of the engine apart just to get to the turbos. Then you have to consider the piping involved with turbos. That is my only gripe with these cars, the fact that maintenance costs rarely go under the $500-$1000 range. And that is just for basic stufff. Now that I have 2 of them I am starting to worry about my finances.

Don't even start with that crap Dave. My n/a just hit a crazy maintenance time... just in time to coincide with my purchase of the TT and rent (on a San Diego house), gas, cable, water, phone, insurance, etc. All of this on a military paycheck (which, if some of you don't know, is extremely miniscule). Needless to say, I am using the pen and paper a lot to figure out my finances right now.
