My 1994 dashboard brake warning light comes on when I press the brake, but yet no lights are burned out. How do I fix?

 

Mine does that too. It says "LIGHTS" when I press the brake. I don't see anything burned out either. I don't know.

 

look @ the center light on the tail lamp. it has 4 bulbs one might have gone out.

 

mine does that too and none of the lights are out. this seems to happen with almost all z's. i think its to let u know that the lights are turning on. (if u have the manual it says something in there about depressing the brake pedal and that light coming on and stuff.)

 

Check all the bulb connections, they may not be out but could have some corrision on the sockets. Also if you have changed to Jspec tails and didn't change the bulbs to US type it will cause the same problem. There is enough of a difference in current draw to make the sensor think there is a bulb out. The dash lite won't come on unless there is a problem.

 

A friend told me that her BMW will tell you, with the dash light on, that her brake lights are about to go. I wonder if this could be the problem?

yes check all of the bulbs make sure there the right kind and brand, its very sensitive, clean all the connections
