The damn thing wont start
The damn thing wont start
wats goin yall. ive been post questions about my 300 for a while now. well i just dropped my engine n my car, everything is hooked up properly ecept the steering joint. Dont want to take off the cross member to put it together...is there anyother way??? The other problem... the Blue Batt fusesible link keeps fries when i try and connect the negative cable onto the battery. thought is was a bad ground at first but i checked them all. If the Blue Batt fuse is not there the only power to the car is to the High Beams and the horn. If ou have any advice let me know, its my only transportation to work!!!!
Simple. You have a short somewhere. Have fun finding it.
Unless your good with wiring diagrams and a multimeter, I'd honestly recommend taking it to a mechanic (and I don't say that very often at all).
Sorry.

You might start with double-checking your alternator wire attachments to see if one of those got mixed up.
Chances are that you pinched some wires when removing or installing the motor. If it was my car, I'd start with removing all of the fuses from the fuse blocks in the engine bay and behind the d/s kick panel. If the fusible link still blows I'd check all of the the main hot wires from the fuse blocks to the battery. If the fusible link doesn't blow, I'd start reinstalling the fuses, one at a time, until it blows again. When you put a fuse in that blows the link, that is the circuit with the short.
