Backup ride
Backup ride
Just a little story I thought I'd share.
I sat down Tuesday to change my front brake pads, it's been time for awhile now. I also needed to get my rotors turned. So I sit down around noon, take front wheels and calipers off, it's about 12:30, pick the rotors up and think "How am I going to get to O'reiley's to get these turned".... look around.... Girlfriend = gone, girlfriends mom = gone, girlfriends dad = gone, girlfriends brother = gone, me = home alone....
Damn, I guess I'll walk, the first half mile there wasn't so bad, the rest mile and a half there sucked. Get them turned and once again, the first half mile home wasn't so bad, the last mile and half sucked. They aren't to heavy at first, but they sure do get heavy, my shoulders and arms are still sore from carrying them 4 miles.... how much they weigh? feels like 30 pounds a piece. I was going to put them in a back pack bc thats of corse is no problem carrying that kinda weight on your back, but i figured they would bang together... bruises on my hips where they were leaned against my hips carrying one under each arm....
ALWAYS HAVE A BACK UP RIDE WHEN changing your break pads...
