If you can even do it, it'll be much cheaper and right now more common to look for the VQ35 out of another car besides the 350Z. Maybe a truck, Altima, or Maxima will work. You'll need a Z or truck transmission though to make it RWD.

I guess if guys are dropping tundra engines into supras then why not drop a truck engine in the Z. It doesnt seem practical, but then again who would have thought that a twin turbo celica running a truck engine would kill all of the more traditional drag cars.

The truck engine probably has different cams, intake, and exhaust to produce more torque and less horsepower. If you put a 3.5L truck engine in a Z just redo some of those components to make the engine what you want for a sports car.
