Trying to import a Jspec 90tt 2seater has any one every done it before that could give me some advice.

 

Wow, I have no idea how you would do that. You shouldn't have many problems. At least I don't think =/

Do you want to import it to have RHD? I think there is a clause when you import a RHD car that it must be changed to LHD. I'm not sure but I belive that is a condition. Also from what I understand the Fairlady isn't as good as the 300ZX( ECU restrictions on HP) Motorex is probably the place to ask?

Auctually I am taking it to Hawaii The computer has been tuned by Central20 woluld have to swap out for a stocker. Motorex is worthless as far as you can throw them. Customer service sucks and all they do is refer you back to the NHTSA website. Yes it would be RHD. The Japanese government limits all production cars to 280ps max including the Skyline GTR. But thanx for the input

 

all i know is that when importing a car you have to replace all the windows with shater proof ones and install those rods in the doors for when you get side swiped...they have to make the car meet american saftey standards and they have to put it through an *** load of test to make sure it gets there so make sure you have money oh and if you know someone in the freighting industry become there best friend have them put it on ship and ship it over for ya will cut back on have to pay for the shipping fee thats really all i can help you with i could be wrong with some of it. But when i was in okinawa a buddy of mine brought back a sj220 black top engine and when he brought it back he had to sing so many papers saying he wouldnt use it on the roads and he could only use it to race with hahahaha yeah right anyways thats all i got take it easy and good luck and if you do get one get some pics i would love to see it again i miss those cars although they are a bit slower than american ones but its worth it youll be the only one with a tt 2+2 ooohhhh awsome!!!!

Actually it is a 2 seater not a 2x2 has DOT20 safety glass already and the military will be shipping to the Import but don't worry I believe I have found someone to do it fingers crossed. do have pics but to big to put on the web maybe? will try when I get home from work. Auctually if you check out the profile of what I have on it you will see why I want to import it.

When you say RHD and LHD you mean Right Hand Drive and Left Hand Drive Right?..... I mean Correct!... Or Yes?!?!

Have found someone to import my Fairlady but i need to find some parts. American guage cluster and some headlight units

 

Sorry to say that I am longer able to import My Z she will have to be left here in someones care until I return. The banks don't think I make enough to pay back the money needed for the loan. For anyone else that in the future that may want to import a vehicle. Make sure you have the money in your bank account before attepting such an event.
