I guess the only benefit about lambo doors is that you wont whack another car with our doors anymore....

But now you ll have to figure out how to patch that hole you just made in your garage's ceiling when you opened the Lambo doors.

*raises hand*

9 foot actually but it's on the back end of a 2 story condo so it's an odd shape anyways. No excuse for making my Z look retarded though, not gonna happen

i'll second that, its a two story house pretty big three car garage (yet we have 6 cars) and yeah my ceiling is high, 9 at least possible 10. plus lambo doors are only like what 7 feet and most garage doors clear 7 feet then the ceiling is raised a bit more.

I say do it, but...

don't half *** it, go all the way, if its show you want you better make them 100% automatic, i mean remote control automatic, cuase if you want to look cool and i am assuming that is what you are going for, having a vertical door kit that automaticly opens the door for you in a parking lot full of other moded cars will get some attention. I think the 300zx is one of the rare cars that actually looks good with vertical doors, mainly cause of its long somewhat low in height door dimensions. I agree that the doors that both swing out and up look kinda bad but the true vertical ones look good to me. Look on the practical side if some idiot in a honda parks close to your Z to try to make his car look better you can still open your door and move it away from that wannabe.

Ugh That green thing...In my opinion the best looking z is a stock Z..The only thing I'd do apperance wise to mine is maybe jspec tail lights. This whole thing about doing it to look cool or whatever...Isn't that kind of ricey? How many people see countless kids driving around parking lots bumpin...That's not what a Z is for man. A z is for summer drives on country roads with the t tops off. Not stunting in parking lots with lambo doors and catfish fascia's.

A Z is for whatever you want it to be for. If you want a riced out daily driver or show car or an all stock back roads brawler, its up to the owner. Me personally, I think automatic lambo doors would be pretty nice. But I also would rather take the $4-5k it would cost and spend it on something thats going to make the drive a little more fun. Or a lot more with that kind of money

After reading this it seems as if there are 2 types of Z Personalities. Personality type 1 wants a Z for speed and could give a damn about the exterior mods. Personality type 2 wants a Z for looks and could give a damn about racing. But i think we all can agree that changing the Z so much that it takes away from the natural beauty is WAK! I say put the doors on...just make sure that they go straight up as possible and don't wobble i.e. get a quality kit. do it right or don't do it at all.

Just put the doors on. If its something you want to do, just do it. All these people are saying its "Ricey", Nissan, is an import....If you have the speed in the Z to back up the Lambo doors then it's not rice anyway you look at it. Is a Lambo rice because it has vert doors? no, it has an engine to back the exotic look. Just make sure if you do the doors you can back it up to fend off the people who say "oh thats rice". Other than that, its your car, do what you want and what you think looks good. I say go for it.

Type 3, those who like a comfortable middle between looks and speed.

oh SERIOUSLY! I had a friend whose brother's roommate got pulled over by the cops and he had to remove them because it made his car sooo much faster than the cop car! Why do you think the cops have so many lights? LOL
