300zx Buzzing noise...

When i turn my car on or start the engine, i hear a mild buzzins noise from the roof of my car. I have located the noise to be coming from inside the panel where my spot light is...does anyone know what it is and how i can fix it? Spot light works fine as the same with the whole car...

I believe there is a fan up there. Sorry I don't know how to fix it

it is your upper climate control fan. The fan blows air past a sensor to get a reading of the temp. There is one near the floor also. Sometimes the fans gets screwed up and starts buzzing. What I have heard to do is take apart the light assemby and stick something up their so the fan cant spin don't disconnect the fan your climate control won't work right.
If you don't feel comforatable sticking something in there to block the fan, you can disconnect it but your CC will act crazy or buy a new sensor for $150.
