300z noob....need help
Well i just bought my 90 n/a 300zx about a month ago and it has a couple of problems and needs some tlc(because previous owner did not take care of the car) Im looking for skid plate or splash sheild for the front and some new seats and steering wheel the tranny doesnt not shift rite and vibrates bad changing from 1st to 2nd. im doing a little at a time but if anybody knows where to find oem or aftermaket replacement Z parts let me know.

Also, try changing the Gear oil (or ATF?) see if that helps with the vibration. Remember its the forgotten fluid with most people.

Do not shop for Z32 parts on eBay - that's where idiots post their used Z32 parts. You'll find higher quality stuff among enthusiasts and their forums.
There is a guy on twinturbo.net who makes aluminum splash shields - check their classifieds to find him.
You can also find all of those other parts in their classifieds, or talk to Z1 Motorsports (300zx.com) - they have many parts cars.

thanx guys. i have looked at ebay but for brand name exhaust and suspension mods like megan apexi and some others. im debating on doing a tt swap or trying to see if its possible to do a vq35 swap

This forum is going downhill so quickly.
Megan parts are cheap ****, and that's all there is to it. Take your opinion over to TwinTurbo.NET (the respectable Z32 forum) and see the kind of responses you get... stuff ranging from exhaust flanges that didn't line up, exhaust piping that has a smaller inner diameter than claimed in the ad, etc etc etc. Megan Racing parts are for high school kids who saw the Fast and the Furious too many times (like most of our new members on here)... people who want serious performance and quality look elsewhere.
