1993 N/A Accel Bog Under 3k RPM
1993 N/A Accel Bog Under 3k RPM
Hey guys, I have a 1993 N/A 2+2 and it bogs when accelerating under 2.5-3k rpm. Once it passes this threshold, power/acceleration picks up considerably and drives just fine. Car idles perfectly but when I rev it under that range, it is noticeably slower to get there. Even from a rolling 1st or 2nd, I can't jump on the throttle without it happening, and it falls on it's face until the rpm catches up. When I bought the car, this didn't happen. Looking for anyone who's experienced something similar.
-Nearly 173k miles on car
-No check engine lights and ECU not throwing codes even after driving around city/freeway the past month
-New fuel filter, new oxygen sensors, all important electrical connections cleaned
-Only performance mod is catback exhaust already on car when I bought it
-Does not pass smog, HC and CO very high, running rich
