That'll be fun.....someday when I have money to get some sport 500s, I'll have to let you know. Have you already checked out some cams? Are you going the OEM USA route or the aftermarket route?

i dunno...one of these days i am gonna have to sit down and write out all the parts i need, and see how much am i looking at.once i get the bottom price i will see what i can upgrade to get the best bang for my buck, bc i am selling a pretty nice car too hook my z up. i am prolly gonna go aftermarket, but my friend has a vg30dett that flodded in the rain, and something happen to it, never worked after that, we think it might have a bent rod or something, so i might take his cams off for free, or i'll buy him a 6 pack

no not him....this other dude, he just gave up on it, and we've been parting his car...i called him earlier, and he'll save me the intercoolers and cams...he had aftermarket cams, so he's gonna put the stock ones back on his engine, bc he sold it, and i get the aftermarket ones, i am not sure which ones are they and he doesn't either...he had mechanicas work on his car, he's a good guy but a little dumb... i think he's gonna get an eclipse gsx, which i would love to have as a back up car for snow and all

It hesitates at full throttle. I have an incredible mechanic checking it out for me. From just a hands on inspection with no tools or anything..he thinks it might be an air leak. I heard something today that might just prove him right. He's a mechanic that used to be the master mechanic at zwhizz and now is at the mossy nissan dealership and he's a good friend of the club and works on most of our cars when we can't do it.

I have no clue...that's the hardest part of an air leak....finding it. The guy said that he could hook it up to a fogger machine that would locate the leak....so I may do that.

Damn, those sometimes wind up being wild goose chases. I would think if it was an air-leak that it would do it more frequently than just at WOT. Check the plastic tubes under the turbo intake hoses. There's an acordian type section in those hoses. I'm wondering if you have a crack in one of those hoses that only opens up when you stomp on the gas because that's when the motor jerks over more from torque. Good luck. If you go to www.zhome.com, there a whole section on solving hesitation problems. The bad thing is that it can be just about anything.

Ya, it sucks. Thanks for the advice and the link...good site. I recommend everyone to go check out that site...a lot of good info on it. As far as the problem....it also accelerates a little rough sometimes, but only up to about 15 mph...it gets really smooth after that....it's kinda weird. It might be those hoses that you're talking about...I'll hafta check that out...thanks again.

You know, installing a grounding net may not be a bad idea. They're simple and inexpensive to make and are supposed to improve a rough idle and low-end torque. It may be the cure, but it could help. I posted a detailed description on how to do in on another thread. One of the reasons that it works is because there are something like 12-15 different electronic devices all working together in your car to make it run right. 1 common ground is sometimes not enough. By installing the grounding net, you can improve the efficiency of the electrical items that relay info to the ECU.
