4-6 hours. Difficult work. If you have never done it, then I don't recommend that this be the 1st one you try. Are you replacing the cam seals and main seal? If so, then if you do it wrong, you could cause more harm than good.

I know it doesn't help now, but I'll be doing mine in about 4 months. At that time we could easily get two done in a day. I have all of the tools.

Well it actualy helps cause I have to get the moneytobuy the stuff you know.

Also I was thinking of just gettin a New JDM Engine. you guy's mightbe askign why. well it's because the person that I bought it gave it bad maintance and Idon;t wanna rebuildthis when it wold be bettergetting a JDM motor on this. so I thought why not get a TT JDM motor with the turbos I have a huge question though. do I need to change something elsebesides the motor and ECU to do a TT convertion. I know I have to buy boost gauges but I have nothing else in Mind. teh car is currently a 1990 300ZX NA 5 Speed Manual what do you guy's think and do you guy's have any recomendations? also give me sugestions on what to do.

OK, the whole engine swap thing, it's too much money for me right nowand too complicated. 91zxTT, I'm doing the 120k service on mine. I'm also changing my radiator pipes that fed the engine cause those are pretty beat up too. I'm doing the electric fan conversion. Is the electric fan conversion complicated, moderate, or simple? Have any of you guy's done it? The reason I'm doing mine is because my stock fan is cracked a little, melted, and the fan clutch is out as well.

I've read that the electric fan is not that complocated. Once you have it mounted, it's basically running 2 wires (switched 12 volt and ground). The fan will run non-stop with the ignition on, but the draw on the battery is so minimal that I don't think it's worth installing a separate temp sensor module. That would make it much more complicated. I'm installing the electric fan, but I haven't even started the car back together yet. I keep taking pieces off. I keep saying,..."Well, since I have it apart this far, why don't I just replace the ___________(fill in the blank)." It's getting quite expensive, but it'll be worth it in the end. The latest items are the intercoolers. Which ones do you guys recommend? I kinda like the Z1's, but I think I can get the Stillen IC's for less $. I've decided that I'm going to stick with SMIC's instead of a FMIC. I'm never going to boost so much that the SMIC's would be considered insufficient. I'll start another thread.

OK I have a pretty serious problem. (I think) I tried jumstartingthe car. My Dad said to leave the car's battery hooked up a whilebefor Itried Igniting it. so I hooked the Jumper cables to both cars correctly. I went Inside the house to get the kays when I came back out there was smoke coming out of the little box by the battery. I uncovered it and there was a wire that had split where a resistor supposed to be. (or so I think) and I want to knowwhat is under the cap on you guys's cars. I have 5 green resistors 1 Red resistor and the wire that split that broke. the wire wasunder the "blue Bat" section.

replace it.
that's a fusible link.

sounds like you hooked up the cables wrong. You're lucky you didn't cause any permanent damage. you'll most likely have to order that fusible link from Nissan. When mine blew, i ordered two. I suggest you do the same.

Pull up www.courtesyparts.com. The phone # is at the top right of the screen. You'll probably talk to Butch. Tell him what you need.
