Upset z driver

Alright so I finally got my 17 inch wheels on the car 215-45-17 in the front and 235-50-17 in the back, I have a 1990 300 zx Na I have to tell you the car looks bad *** but here is my problem as soon as I tested it it seemed slower and when I was hitting about 70 it just didn't feel right , it felt shaky so I took it back an had everything balanced again same thing, I know I need rotors but it wasn't the steering wheel that was shaking it just doesnt seem thsame as when I was with the stock wheels, now I'm pissed because the is looking like I want it to but not performing better or the same as it used to? Any advise would be appreciated

Are you using spacers? Did the wheels feel significantly heavier than the stock ones when you were changing them? Apparently the stock Z32 wheels are relatively light.

Check the offset may sound funny but that where i would go if you haven"t yet and your rear tires sound like they are taller than the fronts, which can change the angle* that the driveshaft U-joints have been broken into. Also check differential fluid too low or fluid needs flush and new fluid added to specs. I trust you'll find the culprit. Let us know how it works out.

Alright here's the update, I went back to the shop and put 225-50-17 in the back kept the 215 in the front for some weird reason problem solved? I'm thinking I got a bad set of tires but my tire guy said just go down a little in the rear so I did. I'm not using spacers they are a perfect fit. I'm no longer a disgruntled z driver once again I'm a happy z driver. Once agin thanks for help guys, it's always good to know that there's people that drive the same car and help each other. Thanks again.
