I'v been asking around about what sway bar I shuld use for the rear on my N/A and it seems like the best choice would be a twin turbo sway bar for the rear. Today I bought a set of used TT swaybars with ES urethane bushings. Does anyone know if there was any difference in the TT front sway bar and the N/A front sway bar?

3 front bars were produces by Nissan (in descending order of stiffness/girth)

2+2 > TT 2+0 > N/A 2+0

Out back there were 2 bars produced

TT > N/A

I have a TT rear in my 2+2

i put the tt sway bar in the front of my car because it came with the clip when i did my swap, and figured i might as well since it was no extra work...but i feel no difference to be totally honest, i wouldnt make the effort to swap tt one's over unless the stock na one's were already off...

can't wait for my stillen sway bars though :-)

From what I gathered the stillen sway bars aren't any better than stock TT SBs (from what i'v been told). Stillen has pissed a bunch of people off because their sway bars are actually weaker for the TT than the stock TT sway bars (from what iv been told). Also they copied Suspension Techniques with the design for the Z32 sway bars. I have heard good things about Suspension Techniques sway bars but that the only difference between the stock TT sway bars and ST sway bars is the adjustablity. Thats just what I found out from research. But it seems like alot of people go with the Stillen setup. SPL stoped selling the stillen swaybars for the reasons above from what I'v been told.

That's odd. I always thought the Stillen bars were a good upgrade for the TT while the TT bars were a good upgrade for the N/A.

I could be wrong. Im no expert. Thats what my Z buddies here in town have told me. One of whom clams that someone at SPL told him that.

Im was really bored today so I decided to paint my sway bar red. I also measured the dimater with a tape ruler. The dimater was alittle over 8cm which would be about 80mm (the stillen is 21mm). Also would it be worth it to change out my front N/A sway bar with the TT sway bar I have now?




edit: go over to http://www.ttzd.com/ and look in the tech pages for the sway bar install and look at how tiny the stillen rear sway bar is.

The Stillen Bars are not supposed to be any different in diameter than than the TT bars..the only difference is that they are SOLID rather than HOLLOW like the stock units. I think that is what I have been reading.

My only concern when buying used parts is fitment. I dont want to purchase a sway bar that might be kinked due to someone whacking a curb or an accident.

Took today off work to install the sway bar. There is now little to no sway in the rear now with the TT sway bar. HUGE noticeable improvement. Here is a pic comparing the size in the TT and na rear sway bars.


would highly recomned this mod to all n/a owners.

i have the ST sways and will say i noticed an improvement right away.
The ST bars are solid and quite heavy.
