this url is to a picture of my front wheel clearance on my 90 model 300zx 2+2 its been like this ever since i purchased it . when you push down on the hood over the tire i get 0 amount of movement no up and down play at all,its like its locked there and its like that on both sides . its hard for me to think both shocks are stuck at the top of thier travel......at the same time any suggestions would be appreciated thanks in advance. im leaning towards a sway bar issue????

Struts have valves in them. It is possible that the struts have locked. I don't see it often, but I have seen it before.

I know its been awhile since i posted this problem, well i finally figured it out.My car has been in the paint shop for 2 months and i havent been able to check out the struts. turns out it had the wrong struts on it. The spring perch was over an inch higher than the right strut for the car. thats why it seemed jacked up and i couldnt get any movement out of the suspension. The struts were the same in all other respects. Dont know if it was a dim witted parts guy or they just ordered shocks for a turbo charged car. hope this post ends up helping someone else in the future.
