eBay or godspeed suspention kit?

I'm looking to upgrade my arms and rods, eBay has some kits for like 400 bucks and comes with most of the arms and stuff, are they any good?

**** it, you want to be stupid and be a cheap **** on one of the most stressed components on the car go for it. just don't come crying back when the **** doesn't fit, or breaks backing out of the driveway. You wanna be cheap, go buy a honda and leave the real cars for the men.

eBay is not bad. My eBay arms lasted 3 years longer than my SPL arms. Just be prepared to get what you pay for most of the time. Wicked suspension components for the Z32 are quality and are track proven on S13's and S14's. Might want to also look ast Powertrix and KingZ suspension parts. All are proven and my fellow Z drivers can attest.

IT's never a good route to go cheap on cars that demand quality. HOWEVER, godspeed doesn't make half bad intercoolers n sells them at a reasonable price. I HAVE NO IDEA how their suspension stuff is. Megan racing I wouldn't ever buy their coilovers even though i hear they are reliable and made well, they just don't function as perfectly as most other brands. BUUUUT their simpler products are actually VERY GOOD! I have their toe control arms and axle spacers on my S2000, and for 1/2-1/3 the price of J's racing products and T1R products with no issues on any of the cars that see regular track abuse. infact the toe control arms in a car that slid into a wall were the only thing that DIDNT bend on the suspension. And the T1R products were found to loosen and fall off other S2000's lol. So if you want arms/rods for a good price, I'd say you couldn't go wrong with megan racing.

Oh also megan racing stuff is manufatured in the same plant as Apex'i(s) stuff and other higher end well known products.

Megan Racing... that's the company that can't make exhaust components that bolt up without elongating bolt-holes and things like that, right?

Buy cheap, buy twice.

I bought cheap ebay coilovers once... the aluminum collars began splitting within a couple years.

I was just looking for adjustable arms at rods, the just to test them out, I have a godspeed fmic on my supra and it's great! I do see what some are saying about quality and it's true most of it is crap but I just wanted to know if anyone has tried them? He'll if not I'll be the first and if they break he'll it's still cheaper than a set or new top notch arms.... Oh and my z has a Megan full exhaust, fits like a glove and sounds pretty good too.

Breaking suspension parts on the freeway (or around a corner at high speeds) is not going to be cheap.

My buddy had a control arm come loose on the freeway on his dropped C5 Corvette. Needless to say it damaged A LOT more than just the control arm.

But don't listen to us...

randy, not sure about the elongated holes. but i do know they make an exhaust for almost every car and look decent and never hear about fitment or reliability issues. however i don't think they sound so good. lol. kinda blah on the muffler packing/resonating/baffling and yeah. eh. But I will stand by my toe control arms and spacers from them. They are def great and the S2000 doesn't like cheaply made parts.

Oh and the toe control arms are adjustable to remove bump steer and different ride heights. The track guys on S2KI like em and they are picky picky people.

Having it fall off the jack in the driveway without even without a wheel on, will **** some **** up. We had a lower ball joint strip out and come off in the autox beast and it tore some serious **** up, luckily for us we have a full frame under that car and it only ripped the brake line off, $200 upper control arm and a couple hundred in a new front fender. Luckily we where at the back stretch and the tire didn't go flying into the crowd, or the car didn't end up on it's lid in the crowd like what would happen if you operated it on public streets.

i dont know why people bash megan coilovers. they arent as cheap as people make them out to be, and they are track proven. i would rather run megan over say k sport, godspeed, and a few other companys. ive ridden in cars with $300 coilovers and cars with $2500 coilovers. if youre driving on the street and occationally a track day here or there, then why spend $2500 on something is will do the same job, when you can have the same that and dont have to break the bank at the same time?

If you are only going for random track days why spend the money at all? Almost every aftermarket off the shelf adjustable shock (sub $300 a piece shocks)is not going to be close to the factory valving of the adjustable TT shocks.

And yes, megan is cheap chinese dog ****, name one competitive road racing z32 that used/using megan anything on their car. Tell you what, find any successful race vehicle with standard megan coilovers.

You can compare these to even shittier brands all you want, but its only comparing cat **** to dog **** to horse ****.... I love my life and I love racing, I also respect other people who race and racing spectators, the entire reason I use name brand components.

i realize its a miata they are testing, but this proves megan isnt "cheap chinese dog ****"

op. do research on the companies you want to go with rather than ask a bunch of guys on forums that will only buy brand name parts because they think that is the only good thing out there. just because a company hasnt been around since 1912 (exaggeration) doesnt mean they dont make quality parts.
