booster
booster
i'm just wondering why i never hear about upgrading the booster on a z. i'm no pro but it seems to me that if your brakes are substantial enough to resist fade and warpage, and strong enough to lock the wheels up, then your only complaint can be peddle feel. so why not upgrade the booster to get more power assist? would that work? or would you need to increase vacuum? i'm sure there's a good reason for this, i'm just looking for an explanation.
i thought of this while driving my mom's accord. the brakes feel much better on that than on the z. they are easier to modulate, and less effort is required. granted, they do warp pretty easily after a few hard stops. but it's clear that the rotors/calipers are less substantial on that car, yet the brakes feel better. i point to the booster. anyone ever heard of fitting a booster from another car? i would think a zo6 would be tempting
. i hear their brakes are excellent.
