1995 n/a 2+2 - Brake "jolt" ?

i have an automatic non turbo 1995 n/a 2+2 and i was driving on the freeway and i took the overdrive off and i when i got up to about 80mph and id hit the brakes the car would just jolt forward. dont really know what's going on, and everything is stock on the car

Not sure why you posted this in the 350z section... so I'll just move this on over to the 300ZX Z32 section.

Maybe your rotors are shot? Or maybe the "jolt" was just you hitting the brakes?

oh wow, im new to this i didnt realize i was in the 350 section. and i kind of suspected my rotors, i need to get them re surfaced. and no im pretty sure it wasnt just me hitting the brakes lol

I don't think I would want anything other then a jolt forward when hitting the brakes. I would check the the lug nuts, then check the caliper bolts. Can you apply any amount of force to the brakes without it jolting?

yeah, its only after i hit about 80 and over

only happens when overdrive is off too

Chances are it's not your brakes. I would look at the diff bushings.
