Z32 interior work

Has anyone had any interior leather work done in their Zs? To rewrap and condition the stock seat and wrap new leather for doors, under side of the dash and the center, what should I expect for the cost?

Also what should I expect for a new carpet and labor cost?

Thanks in advance.

As Zlover says, if you do it cheap then you'll do it twice. That applies with just about anything you buy on eBay for a Z.

the stuff on ebay doesn't look bad. as long as you do it yourself or have someone who knows what they are doing it would be ok. it's not like they're stick on you just get some nice 3m 80 spray

I've got a better idea....why don't you just send me the $100 so I can put it in my bank account. You'll be just as happy with how i looks on your Z and I'll have an extra $100. It's a win-win for everyone....except for the morons selling that crap on eBay.

Seriously....there are a least a million better ways to waste $100.

Wow.

That's really not bad at all. A lot less then what I was expecting. Thanks for your input.

Amen to that brother.

I just ran into some major problems with my Z yesterday, and it's due to me cutting corners and trying to save on some moola. Now I'm going to have to spend *** load of moola to get it right...

Lesson learned.

Were you able to find out the rub count of the material?

I was told for a car seat, it should have about 200,000 or higher rub count.

2nd Imports Extreme.

Or go to Joanne Fabrics (or any fabric store), buy QUALITY fabric and cut it yourself (just remove the old fabric, lay it over the new material, trace, cut). The stuff on eBay is precut vinyl, that's all it is. You can make the same stuff from Joanne Fabrics for $20. If you're ok with vinyl, doing it yourself saves a lot of money.

Check the TwinTurbo.NET AutoFAQ for write-ups on installation procedures.

IMO vinyl is one step above wrapping the seats in trash bags.

But that's just me.

There are vinyl materials that most people could not differentiate from leather. My last Z had vinyl seats and nobody ever knew until I told them.

Those are from three different cars and I'm not publicly stating whether any of them are leather or vinyl. For those of you who want to bash vinyl, you tell me which is which.

i'm not bashing vinyl, honestly i like it because it usually doesn't feel as cold as leather when you sit on it, and i usually don't stick to it as much when i get sweaty. but for fun, i'm guessing that the middle picture is the only real leather one.

I like cloth for the simple reason that I want to wear shorts without my fat *** sticking to my seats in the summer.
