Trim restorer??

Im looking for a magical product that can restore my faded weatherbeaten trim back to jet black. (Or close to it). Anyone know of any products that would work?

~one of my buddies told me about a product called "Forever Black"

Forever black works great....but you have to apply it every other car wash to keep it from fading back really quick. You can actually buy trim paint at any autozone or pep boys and repaint it all. I did mine about a year ago, and it still looks just as good as the day I put it on.

Sorry guys, maybe I am having a brain lapse, but what exactly do you mean by the trim? I have a good idea of it but I would like a pic to make sure I'm right.

mostly the black trim that extends from the roof to the hood on the sides of the car outside the windshield. Of course there is also the trim where the door windows go down into as well. I'm sure you know what I am talking about, because the trim in the Z32 has been well known for its easy fading and whatnot

Mine is chrome as well. Bought new moldings from CZP. It includes the trim along the window as well but you can buy the roof and windshield molding seperate.

Redo the window ones with truck bed liner, the door ones with flexible vinyl bumper trim paint. Couple coats of clear afterwards. Mine has lasted a few years now and still looks great.

If its rubber trim you can use KIWI black shoe dye you can get at walmart or grocery store. Its got a sponge applicator on top and works great. It gets deep into the rubber and dyes it black again and lasts for a very long time. I tried this after noticing its similarities with the forever black product http://www.properautocare.com/fb-1k.html and the KIWI stuff is like $3.99 or so a bottle. Its also good for the thin strip of rubber at the top of the windshield too, I even used it on my faded white cowling and it came out nice. As far as the strips that flake off and are chrome underneath, the truck bed spray works good on it as previously stated. I used to use Mothers back to black and it would work for a week or so and would fade back.
