ok. a couple of you have written to me requesting info on stereo equipment. let me explain how all this works on my end so you guys won't think i have forgotten about you or something. i use to have a tv/vcr/electronics repair shop which evolved into a car stereo shop also.(i installed car stereos to help put myself through school, any of you who have been in that area of work know, once you're in it it's usually something you're passionate about and you really never get out of it.) now i'm an electronics engineer. my wife and i just had our first baby. (about 3 months ago, little boy, addorable.)so to make some extra cash on the weekend i work for a guy here where i live that owns ,sort of a pawn shop type place, but most stuff he sales is new. he sales everything from gun's to jewelry,to tv's, vcr's,tools, you know the kind of place. well i fix tv's and stuff for him, and got him into selling car stereo by fixing him up with some of my old contacts. so i'm there on weekends. about 2 or 3 nights a week i'm a surgical technician at a local vet clinic. i also repair electronics for a chain rent-to-own stores, in what's left of my free time. i still do consulting work and may be returning to write tech articles for some automotive and electronics magazines. SO! when you write to me and ask about a stereo, i promise, i can't wait to see if i can help. but i have about 20 different catalogs and sales flyers to weed through to see if one of them is has the particular model you're looking for. remember, i'm doing this in the wee hours of the night mostly. i don't mind doing it at all, i promise. just please be patient and bear with me. the best way to do it is email me with the year and model of car and what name and model you're after or just what you'd like, like am fm cd player in about the $200 range. i print them out at work and when i get a chance start the quest and get back to you. my email is justun@electronicengineers.com. sometimes my work sends me out of state for awhile so it may take awhile for me to even get your email. i am going to start a new thread every now and then under "stereo deals" and just list some deals out of some of the flyers maybe this will give you some ideas. oh, i also get alarms,lights,and some home stereo and dj stuff. thanks guys, i'm sure once we get into this it will start running smoother. thanks, justun ross
