Has anybody painted their rear light panels?
I have a scuffed center panel and a faded 3rd light panel. I'm getting the car repainted and thought about having them tape off the parts with the lights and paint the rest of them. Either that or getting some nightshade and blacking them out. Pictures seem hard to find though, especially of the former. Does anybody have any or know where I can find some? I'd like to check it out before I do it.

I don't know if you'd want to paint over your lights, they'd become pretty useless. If it helps, I have pictures of my car when I first got it, had smoked out tail lights.
I made a third brake light strip while I was saving up for a more stock looking set of tail lights, so you can see how it all looks in the second pic.

Yeah, I'd be painting that top one minus the center brake light part and the middle one, probably totally. They look like crap when the back up lights are left unpainted and the backup lights don't work anyway and don't have to by state law. Side ones would stay unpainted.

Lol glad you like it, I didn't much so I'm just running some cleaned up North American stock lights. Still have the smoked set if you're interested, center reverse-lights panel has a crack down the center though.

Painting the 4rd brake light
This might be helpful. I will be trying it this weekend. Hopefully it goes well. My 3rd brake light is extremely faded.
Cheap Fix for Faded Third Brake Light for the Nissan 300zx
Buying a new one is an option... But i hear they break really easy. z1 has the, but advises against shipping.
