DIY jdm tail lights?

DIY jdm tail lights?

Hey guys i was wondering if there is any way to clear the tail lights without having to spend 350bucks. There has to be a way to do it and someones knows so please tell.

there is a way, i thought about doing it but you have to like bake it in the oven and some other risky business... Search twinturbo.net though.

(Edit: Its not THAT hard....once you get 1 down, the other is easy)

2nd. Between the lack of the black lines in the lens (which can be made), and the chrome inner-housings, it'll never look as good as JSpec. (Not to mention, the actual texture of the inner lenses are different to begin with I believe)

I believe the home made version should only be a temporary solution until the genuine JSpecs can be purchased. Just my $0.02.

Agreed, thats all mine are....they look good, but their just temporary til I get the JSpecs.

You'll spend about $50 bucks and about 8-10 hours clearing the stock tails. You are risking screwing up your tails (cracking/breaking) and getting water leaks.

I just decided to save my money and buy the J-specs. I bought the tails first and not the center panel.

I did mine spending $25 and 5 hours, and they looks 80% as good as real Jspec. Any pairs afer that only take 2 hrs. I've sold 5 pairs so far.

i bought a kit on eBay Monday to clear them with some cheap lenses and a stripe kit to look JDM. hopefully install will be a breeze but probably not, ill let u know

I decided I would never pay for the cheap ones and I didn't want to screw it up myself. The homemade ones are okay for a temporary fix but even then they look semi-ugly without the black lines.
