first, check the fusible links. under the hood near the battery if i remember right. they are little blocks that have a short length of wire looped on them. and when my '87 lost all electrical, it turned out the battery was fried. like totally dead. i could not even get anything to work with jumper cables hooked up from a running car. i thought the car was toast, but i went and got a new battery, and it fired right back up. and the battery in question was less than 6 months old btw.

ECU doesnt control all of the power, check the links if they are fried replace, if not then move on.

the wire usually burns out under the sheath, so get a multimeter and test them all. i had one go bad on my '87 that actually burned through the sheath, so it was easy to find.

thanks for the compliments, i really love my z32. and what i am talking about is a smaller box under the hood. its over near the battery, and about 1.5"x4". there should be little blocks with loops of wire. those are the fusible links. check all of them.
