Wiper Motor

Ive got a 1986 300zx no turbo mt. The wiper motor went out, I believe so I am going to purchase another. My question is, according to the Haynes manual, the wiper pivot arm should be pryed off the wiper motor shaft. Is this correct or is there a nut on the end? thanks.......

it's correct. You just pry the arm off of the pivot.

after you remove the nut holding it on. But the 86 also has a plastic piece that covers this nut. and it prys off easily.

I replaced the motor but the wipers still dont work. When I turn them on, I can hear the timer click but not action on the wipers. Could I have a problem with the ground wire?
