Is there a relay just for the front wipers? My wipers will not work unless i ground the g/w or g/b wire. Could it be the switch?

 

Check your Fuses in the kick panel on the drivers side. Should tell you which is the wiper fuse pull it out and see if its not blown.

If thats good, I was reading in '93 car buyers guide that the 86' 300zx had terrible chassis electrical. Check your accessory relay block behind the wiper fluid, Hopefully you know how to check relays, then, if its out buy a new one or junkyard it.

If not, then take it to a mechanic and spend $500 to fix your windshield wipers.



I have a similar problem, except its with my fuel pump, and I have to wire it right from the battery in order for it to get power.
