it would be an absolute royal pain in the ***, and not worth the time. first, go check out the z32 section and see what they have to say about swapping the tt motor into their cars. those guys end up spending quite a bit more on parts than just the motor. second, why? if you have a turbo, you could spend just the money that would buy the tt motor upgrading your current motor and get a good hp increase. if you dont have a turbo, you can just use the same money to buy a turbo z31, and then spend the money that it would have taken to get the tt in and running right to just mod the turbo z31. or, just go buy a tt z32.

Yes, it's been attempted.
Yes, success was achieved.
No, it's not a direct bolt in, and, will require much fabrication skill. The most difficult task will be to fabricate the crossmember and engine mounts. You'll also need to figure out the intake/exhaust plumbing, electrical, engine management, and, the list goes on....
Here's an example of a successful vg30dett swap
And, another (better pics)

Well I dont own a turbo z31, ive done cosmetic mods to my car that I want to keep, is there any reputable dealers that I could purchase a turbo z31 engine from, I emailed the website that I found the VG30DETT on and asked if they could get a VG30ET but no response yet. Do you guys know of anything?

theres alot to do (all of the above) a freind of mine who usto owen rtz in grass vally ca. did a few of them and i almost did it my self but one thing he did say was that one of the major things that has to be changed is the pasenger side turbo need some extra room. there for the fier wall must be cut out and this puts the turbo pretty much in your gluve box. so you could say just a littel fabercation has to be done. but you do what you want to do dont let all of us discurage you. if that was the case i would never have done my convertion.
