Um... you don't run the hose to the ash tray. There should be a remote solenoid that you install in the engine bay right by the wastegate.

fine ... the hose with the little filter thingy that goes to the back of the greddy ebc where i'm "mounting" in the ashtray location ... no my ashtray is not a magical boost controller you could increase boost by pushing in the lighter ****

You mean max boost? He's prolly not going for 30psi... so it'll still work for him.

Turbo86... sorry for the confusion. I looked up the instructs & realized there is vac port required on the back of the control unit. I suggest getting down under the drivers side dash & look for any wiring ports through the firewall that you can squeeze a hose through. A shortened clothes hanger works wonders on pulling wires & tubes through a grommet in the firewall.

can I use the throttle cable grommet hole? ... on another tangent - it's hard to see where the hose comes off the waste gate accuator is it underneath it ... to answer fellow chicago dude snwbrderphat540 - yea I wasn't going to go upto 30 psi more like 10 and then when I install my intercooler like 12 or 13

without upgrading the fuel pump and fuel injectors ... wouldn't I be above the fuel cut off with 15psi?

Yeah, 15psi is pushing it on a stock Z31 fuel system. You could get a rising rate fuel pressure reg, but that shouldn't be the fix to increase boost.

15psi is fun... I have a mbc set at that. my car still runs rich for some reason and is all stock. It seems to run good but lifters have started to make noise so im done with 15 for now till I get another car to take mine off the road. There is a hole in the passengers side firewire it has some rubber pipe going through it for A/C or something, that it what I use for wiring and junk.

Do you have a wide or narrow band a/f gauge?

Back in the day, Jim Wolf said the stock ECU will max out around 12.5psi. Their ECU would max out the injectors at 14.5 psi. Anyone trying to run 15psi on stock fuel is just asking for a blown up motor.

And I ran my hose through the fireway near the stock vacuum hose that controls the climate control.

up untill the lifters started making a lot of noise( old engine non turbo ran hard would probally do the same thing) it has been running fine on 15, I have yet to hook up a air fuel ratio... I know 13 is max for stock ecu and injectors but I know a guy in my town that has run 15 ever since he has had the car and its been fine so I went from 10 to 13 to 15. I havnt heard any pinging or any thing, the lifters only really started making noise the last time I changed the oil... maybe I need thicker or something, I put mobile1 10w30
