What year Z31 injector recall?
#26
If I remember correctly, the service campaign was caused by the alcohol that oil companies started using in the fuel after the Z31 was produced. Alcohol caused the rubber hoses and rubber in the fuel injectors to rot. In 1993, I could smell unburnt gas whenever I stopped the car and the vents were on. I had gas pooling on the engine. This was before the service campaign started. I paid over $1400 of my own money to get the problem fixed. 2 years later when the campaign started, a Nissan dealership decided to do the campaign without my permission. I had even told the dealer I had already paid for the injector campaign 2 years earlier and was going to contact nissan for remimbursement. They did it again anyway. When I contacted Nissan, they said that since they paid for the campaign, they would not reimburse me. I never went to that dealer again since those asses cost me almost $1500 for nothing.

a buddy of mine called about getting his done and the dealership started refusing, he called Nissan directly. they 3-way called the dealer, with him on the line, and told them if they did not fulfill the campaign they would lose their license to sell Nissan automobiles.
