Unknown battery wire on 1987 300zx

Does anyone know what this wire is for, I want to assume that it is for the grounds firewall but I don’t know where to connect it.

The wire in question is attached to the positive cable. As was the case for my car, it probably went to a high-draw source such as an audio amplifier. I would remove it.

Um, that is the positive cable that wire is on. Please don't ground the positive terminal of the battery. Also, if you do connect the positive battery cable, keep the cut wire away from any metal. Fireworks are for the 4th of July.

Looks like an accessory wire. For a high powered radio?
