Tacho/ speedo

Hi People
My tacho/speedo is not working does it have a sensor

I'm taking a guess it's an S30 but what year ?

Mines a digital, and it has a cable that goes to the trans, that has a o ring on it and u just pull it out of the trany clean it hit it with a wrench and put put it back in sometimes that works otherwise its shot and u need a new one, I think it runs up to the engine compartment and that's where the sensor is but a analog could be totally different! PS. If u have your car raised in front when u do this u could loose tranny fluid so do it when u change youre fluid!
