T3 conversion to 88 300zxt

I had a dead T25 in my recently purchased 88 so I started looking for a working Turbo. Found a T3 which I was told (a different forum) wouldn't work properly w my 88 ecu. Just here to say it works GREAT! I'm running in open loop w no signal from the O2 sensor since the 84 T3 sensor is incompatible with my 88 but I'm getting great power (buries the boost gauge) and little to no pinging/preignition running regular. Got 26mpg on my last road trip even though I forgot to use overdrive on the automatic. Ha! to all the naysayers...

Cool I guess? And I thought pinging was bad all together.

Let me guess... Someone on zcar.com said that? They're usually idiots over there.

It's an O2 sensor, not a turbo sensor. Don't get confused.

Why do I get the feeling you're very confused. If you're in 3rd gear on the freeway, your engine will be revving like mad and you would get no where near 26mpg. I now have doubts if you were told the T3 wouldn't work with your ECU or if you were told something different and you didn't understand what they were saying.

You're in open loop, which is a richer map with less timing and no o2 sensor. No **** it's working, but it's running in basically warm up mode. Now get your car running correctly and see how long your motor will last.

And the fact still is, you are still pinging with the car running in open loop (about half as much timing as closed loop)

And unless you took your road trip at 40mph you aren't getting 26mpg without OD, as you are spinning about 3k RPM's doing 50mph.

Cliffs:
You're still a dumbass
running to another forum because you think your stupidity will somehow go unnoticed doesn't work
even with your car in open loop without an o2 sensor you are still getting detonation (like we told you you would) at stock boost levels.
And just because you don't hear pinging, doesn't mean it's not.

And INB4 Zbum!

Damn you Zbum!!!!
