Ssqvbov?

hey im new to the Z scene just got 1 yesterday as a matter of fact. It needs a little TLC but its ok, first car, can't complain. I was wondering about BOV's or SSQVBOV's what is a good brand to go with, and is it even worth the money to get?

Greddy & HKS are great items. Turbo XS has some good ones too. Just be careful of knock-offs.

TIAL as well.
and yes you ahve heard HKS ssqv...its the chirpy whistly one that flutters...sounds pretty i guess... go get a fast and the furious video that blow off valve is popular in the movie lol...but TIAL is one of the best wastegate blow off valve companies as well.

First thing to do... buy a Haynes manual for the car. YOU WILL NEED IT, and it's easier to find what you need in that book, than finding it online... yes, it's a good book!

I was also wondering, is it necessary to get a wastegate, or is there a stock internal wastegate. I was thinking of just getting the bov.. but I'm not sure what would happen.

You can get a Haynes manual for the car at AutoZone, Advanced Auto, Checker, NAPA, Pepboys, www.ebay.com or www.amazon.com

The turbo has an internal wastegate... Nissan obviously didn't stick on a turbo without a wastegate. And yes, you can install a BOV.

it's really a waste of money to get a bov right now. If you want to mod, get the basics first, intake and exhaust.

megan=cheap, but do you just have a muffler or a whole catback? Spend your money on an intake...then an ECU upgrade, etc etc.

I'll buy it for $500 I love it when people jump to "it's got bad compression" when it runs poorly. That's when I jump in and say "SUCKAH!"
