Paraut Oil Pump for Z31 Turbo

I am in the process of converting my 1985 300zx n/a 5-speed to turbo, and i'm in the market for an oil pump. Parts Geek has a Paraut oil pump listed for $93.98.

I have tried to find info on this brand, and it appears that it might be a decent, OEM replacement. Has anyone had any experience with Paraut oil pumps?

I also found this ITM pump for $111.79 on Rock Auto. Is ITM any good?

Both companies import parts big time - which means parts they sell could come from anywhere. Today it's usually Asia somewhere. Your only protection is the return policy of the company you buy it from. If it does not fit, you get your money back. If it fails too soon, what's your warranty? Other than those, you roll the dice.

I have bought from both Rock and Geek. Never had a problem. I use a credit card because the card company has clout and will back me up. Debit cards a bad idea for that kind of buy, I think. Just a guess.

Ok, thanks for the feedback. Should I just spend a bit more and get a Melling or something like that from the parts store? I've heard Melling makes good oil pumps.

Not a bad idea

I was looking around, and if you could find one, a stock Nissan part is very spendy, in the 300 to 400 range if I remember right, so if you can get a 1st tier vendor part, you would be a lot better off, at least that's a familiar brand, and with a local shop, warranty service is much easier, peace of mind can be priceless.

Ok, thanks for the help. I'm new to engine building, so any advice goes a long way.
