I've posted info about this car on a few diff, threads. At first i was looking for a Turbo car to use as a donor car to convert my like new NA. Than I found a 85 Turbo car that's in very good condition but the engine had a knock in it. The car is to nice to junk.

I now have the car in my shop and have the engine out of it. The knock was indeed the rod bearings, not just 1 but 4 of the 6 were bad. The guy I got it from said he lost oil pressure and replaced the oil pump and when I ask him if he checked the bearings while he had the engine out he paused for a second and said he did. I took the pause as that he didn't really check them out.

I have found another Z to get a good block from it's a 86 that had a engine fire, but the block is good.

BTW this is a silver Z and has the Turbo graphics on the side along with some pin stripes. I have not had a chance to look around much, but does anyone know of a source to buy the graphics?
