my air intake upgrade,sorta

ok so today i got the great idea of looking on how my air filter works i did i think its dumb how it work so anyways i finally got this great idea of getting alil bit of tubing and making it curve to the bottom of the car and making it go strait in from when im driving well see for your self and let me know wat you think

that scares me a bit. i think you would be better served with a K&N filter and a straight pipe in place of the resonator box. those extra bends that you have added will do more harm than good. that dryer hose is likely going to add turbulence. and your filter is going to get absolutely filthy down there. i highly recommend against this modification.

I can't believe the stupid ghetto crap that some people do to get no gains and run a greater potential risk of damage to their engine.

i did my own fabrication with my intake as well but with no mods like that... i simply took off the resonator boxes. cut then ground down the nipples associated with the boxes from the hard piping of the intake and brazed new patch pieces onto the intake then pressure checked it to make sure there were no leaks. now i have straight air from the filter into the engine. i also installed a cold air intake which was cheap off of ebay a BomZ will do you fine with their cone filter they supply, throttle response is about 4 times greater with a mod like that. plus like everyone said some grit and water from the road will lead to disaster in the end
