headlight switch
Just wondering if I can use a headlight switch from an old skyline on my 84 300zx, and if so, which year skylines?
Just wondering because I saw one on Ebay, and it looked exactly the same as mine (which is a little broken).
The metal strips (under the push on plastic cover) on the back are bent, is it possible to fix them without replacing the whole switch?

Don't base any buying decisions on what a part looks like in a picture. Compare part numbers. The part number for the z31 (your car) switch is easy to search and find, but, the Skyline will require a little more effort.
Why don't you go to a boneyard and get a salvaged one for cheap that is made for your specific application?

I'm having a little trouble finding any part numbers.
And I can't find any old Z31s in junkyards in Australia.
Is anyone able to help me, or tell me if I can use this part:

thanks a lot.
