door chime test issues?

door chime test issues?
So I tested the door chime, attaching the positive and negative leads to the respective battery terminals and it starts chiming really fast and erratically for a few seconds and then stops until I touch the positive lead to the terminal again.
From the FSM it shows the chime is connected to the Time Control Unit, so is there a relay or something in the TCU that controls the speed/tempo of the chime? If so, which relay do I need?
Any help would be great!
